My team and I follow both the Association of Professional Genealogist (APG) and Board of Certified Genealogist (BCG) ethical and proof standards.
They are true professionals to include certified genealogists. All are educated in a variety of fields of research to provide the best experience possible for you, the client. Our relationship begins with a free 30 minute consultation to determine your specific goals. After a careful evaluation, you'll be paired with a genealogist with the specialty skillset to reveal the answers you are seeking. We are also adept at generating court ready affidavits and due diligence reports, as needed.
After retiring from electrical design engineering I discovered my passion for family history. I inherited boxes of genealogy research from my father and maternal uncle who were avid researchers. There was also my mothers journal which sent me on the quest that ignited my DNA education and desired skillset of forensic and genetic genealogy.
An adoption took place, my mother had a daughter and put her up for adoption. Somewhere out there I had an older sister, what do I do, how do I find her? Knowing it was 2013 and DNA and ancestry research were on the edge of becoming what it is today, I knew I had to learn everything I could to find my sister!
I began specialized training in forensic fundamentals, DNA, and advanced genetic genealogy, always striving to refine my skills. My main goal was to find my sister, but along the way I offered services to adoptees and the legal profession specializing in forensic, genetic, and family genealogy.
In April 2014, I met my sister, Carol for the first time! It turns out, someone provided her a 23 and me DNA test for health and my second cousin also took the DNA test. Within 2 weeks we were united and I am so thankful for what that DNA test provided me. A Blessing and a Joy in my life.
I've excelled in DNA evaluation for cases involving adopted individuals, unknown parentage, children of war, and the court system, facilitating connections within biological families.
My expertise is finding the living, identifying descendants and missing heirs, providing the necessary kinship evidence and contact information needed for probate, real estate attorneys, attorney ad litem, and biological family connections.
For the last seven years, I have provided forensic and genetic genealogy research assisting in military repatriation efforts for MIA, KIA, and POW soldiers by identifying, reporting, and interacting with living descendants.
On a personal note: I love Colonial and Revolutionary era research, vertical files, and anything DNA. My Greatest JOY is Connecting Family!
